"Casa Cartianu" Pension is trying to revive the charm of Casa Cartianu (Cula Cartianu), rustic style and architecture of the pension keeps the lines of this superb example of old Romanian architecture. The building, which occupies a picturesque position on the Cartior River, was built in 1760 by Cartianu family as old documents show.
Casa Cartianu is one of the few examples of old architecture which stories can still direct descendants of those who built it. The house currently operates an ethnographic collection and a collection of documents on Cartianu family history. This museum is overseen by family descendants Cartianu and they are guides for the visitors (they provides not only simple information about this house but also family anecdotes that give the home atmosphere).
