Casa El Greco
Vintileasca, Vrancea

In a fairytale setting, at the foot of the Muntioru massif in Vrancea, among the rusty houses scattered on the hills of the village of Vintileasca, is El Greco House. Here you can spend some days of tranquility and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The house provides you with a living room and three bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, cable TV, and a huge orchard in which those eager to dine in the shade of a tree can prepare a barbecue at any time. Upon request, the hosts offer breakfast or full board, with dishes cooked by Mrs. Anişoara from products of the place.

Access is made from E85 (Focsani - Ramnicu Sarat) through Dumbrăveni commune, taking the road that follows 50 km of the Râmnic Valley, towards Dumitreşti, Jitia and, finally, Vintileasca. The road passes through old, picturesque rural settlements, which once attracted Nicolae Grigorescu and Alexandru Vlahuta.

In addition to the wonderful scenery, as you can see in few places in the country, the guests of the house, more eager to walk, have a lot of interesting places to visit:
      - The Muntioru Hermitage, a monastic charity settlement, towards which many pilgrims are heading, at the end of a forest road that departs from Vintileasca and reaches Poiana Muntioru, declared a natural reserve

      - Poiana Mărului Monastery, erected by Basil Vasile in 1740, today visited as a place of prayer and historical monument

      - Lake Without Fund, at the entrance to Vintileasca, where the people come to bathing or fishing caras, perch or pike. Amateur fishermen also try their luck on the Rimnic Valley.

      - In the adjoining village, Neculele, there is Piatra Fetei - two huge stone galleries around which legends have been woven about giants who lived in ancient times in these lands

      - In the valley between the Pietrii Mountains and the Purcelul Ridge, at the end of a spectacular road, there is a cascade of a special beauty - Muntioru Falls, a waterfall 10 meters high on a rock wall

      - A trip to the village of Jitia can take you to Sarii Hill. Just like in other places in Buzau County, salt comes to the surface, and white streams breeze the earth; These springs springs in the waters of Râmnic, hence the name of Râmnicu Sarat

      - For the most experienced, Vintileasca can be the starting point for an 8-hour route to Culmea Furu and Caldera de Zăbalei.

As you can see, Vintileasca is a village where the lover of nature and authentic will not leave disappointed. Casa El Greco is waiting to host you!
